Is Acupuncture safe? Does it hurt?

Licensed acupuncturists and doctors must undergo years of schooling, pass rigorous exams, demonstrate their ability, and have many years of practice. The needles used are very slender and flexible, and while there might be the feeling of a slight "pin prick" when the needle is inserted, a skilled acupuncturist can minimize or eliminate the sensation. The use of disposable needles eliminates the worry about infection. As the needles begin to correct the energy imbalance you may feel a slight tingling, warmth, or pressure. You will probably leave the treatment feeling relaxed and energized.
